To guide the Ethiopian youth towards the pursuit of knowledge and appreciation of books and other library materials as a means of satisfying their thirst for information and learning

To make a public library all through out Ethiopia a reality and thereby meet the unfulfilled demands of the Ethiopian public to access library services.

To introduce and expand access to use of modern technologies, to aid dissemination of information in Ethiopia and help bridge the existing digital divide.

To promote the development of independent, self-confident, and literate citizens through the provision of open access to cultural, intellectual, and informational resources.

To engage and coordinate the cooperative efforts of the various stake holders including the Ethiopian Diaspora, Friends of Ethiopia, and our multi-national partners in the campaign for literacy.
